Selecting websites so that they will open
« on: November 09, 2013, 07:11:30 PM »
My problem is that when I have Wi-Fi access, I will use Google to search for websites I want to access. A list of relevant websites will appear, but I often can't get them to open. When one does open, I can't figure out what I have done differently than when I can't get it to open. How does one select something and get it to open? This is my first tablet and I am not a smart phone user. The manual assumes users come knowing information that I don't know.

When you say that you are using Google as your search engine, I am assuming that you you are using Chrome where you can type your search into the address bar or that you may be using http://www.google.com. In either case the results of the search will be displayed with a bold blue address link followed by a brief description of the site. Simply tap the bold blue address link and the corresponding web page will open. To return to your search results just tap the arrow that points to the left at the top of your screen beside the address bar. You are correct that the available information often assumes that the user has prior knowledge and that is where your forum can help.
