Where are photos held?
« on: November 04, 2013, 09:02:25 PM »
Helo All,

Just got a brand new Nexus 10 and very pleased with it.   However, aftrer taking some photos I can't find the file they are in.   I want to transfer them to my PC but they don't show when I access the tablet from the computer.

On the tablet I am using a Rhythm Software file manager which shows the photos OK but I can't get to them via the desktop.

Any help much appreciated.

Depending on the photo app that you used, they should be in a folder under \sdcard something like media, pictures, etc. Your tablet connects to your PC using MTP (Media Transfer Protocol), which can be problematic if you have a large number of photos to transfer. Using Google drive or Dropbox may be a simpler solution.

The easiest way to transfer is simply connect to your PC then go "my computer> nexus 10> internal storage> DCIM> camera" for stock camera & some of the third party apps, or others to there corresponding app folder.
Then simply drag & drop.
Or alternatively you can grab a file sync app & set it to sync to Google drive add Google's PC side app & it's done automatically.
