Ugreen 100W USB C DigiNest Pro Charging Station

This thing is an absolute UNIT. The name is kind of weird? but as far as a charging solution for just about EVERYTHING, this is amazing. Right now, I've got my 2 macbooks, my ipad and my iphone... and I still have 3 power outlets open for really anything! Aside from the GaN technology (i don't know how it works, but apparently it charges everything faster) I really love the big clicky button. Turns everything off with a satisfying 'THUNK'. I have used ugreen products before, and I have several that I use now, so I was expecting quality... they definitely delivered!

Weighed and well-styled this is great for the office or intermittent travel. It has a lot of ports and power that should let you make this your go-to power strip. A single button powers it on and off. The led indicator is simple but useful. A concern is with international travel - the power strip should work anywhere as long as it has an adapter to fit the outlet. I would be cautious and remember that the items plugged in should also support the ac current of the country it is used in as it is not a step-down transformer. At $130 MSRP it offers a lot of options but may not fit all the travel needs.

It seems like I am in a constantly escalating arms race between my electronics and my power bricks and charging stations. Whether the issue is a switch from USB-A to USB-C or the need for more wattage, just when I think I've hit the mark something changes and I need more. This GaN power strip is pretty much perfect for now, and - dare I say it - might even be a little future proof. It has a legacy USB-A port for older cables, a 12W USB-C port for slower charging, and two high-speed USB-C ports. It also has outlets for even thirstier devices. Build quality is excellent, as I've come to expect from Ugreen (which is the only brand I consider these days besides Anker), and the 6 foot cord is plenty for my usage scenario. GaN tech means the cube itself is smaller than I would expect. I can't think of a single thing I would improve on this power strip.

This is a surprisingly feature-rich desktop power strip. It has two silicone feet to keep from sliding around the desk and has a bit of heft to it for the same reason. It has plenty of outputs for a common computer desk setup: 2 grounded outlets on the back (think monitors), an ungrounded outlet on the top (charger for laptop if not USB-C, lamp, or keep it open for quick access), 2 high-powered USB-C ports (think laptop + thunderbolt hub and a tablet), a lower-powered USB-C port (think a cell phone) and a USB-A port. Let's talk about the electrical plugs first. These do not have any surge protection, and it is correctly advertised as a "power strip". They are, though, switched on/off with the power button on the front, so you can turn your entire set up off at once. The power strip has 14 AWG wire, which is uncommon, as most power strips/surge protectors use 16 AWG to save a bit of money. 14 AWG means you likely do not need to worry how much you plug in, as in most homes in the US your outlets are supplied with 14 AWG in the walls. The larger wire size is nice to see. It also has a low-profile 45 degree plug. The two grounded outlets on the back are sized so you can likely have two "wall warts" without issues.
